The song came about after we’d been pondering how interconnected everyone and everything is. Such an obvious realisation, like the fact that everyone is a child to someone, can weirdly be so mind blowing when you’ve been stuck in your own tiny world. I think it’s really hard to get across some of the most universal and important concepts in songs without them sounding cliche, so that’s what we tried here anyway! Musically, it was hugely inspired by the album ‘Born To Be With You’ by Dion (produced by Phil Spector)

It’s easy to forget that everyone has their own network of relationships behind the scenes. I remember being at a family funeral earlier this year and having this sudden awareness of how a person that you know as a grandmother or mother, is also somebody’s child, sibling or best friend and that they might have meant different things to all those people. I guess the overall message is one of reassurance - that we should try and see the big picture even when we feel somewhat alone or insignificant
